My name is Edward Goguen and I am a faculty member in the Communication Technology Program at Husson University. Currently, I am the Audio Programs Coordinator in charge of the audio engineering and live sound technology programs.
This is a new responsibility for me that officially began this past May at the end of the academic year. Being in charge of approximately 150 students and 6 fulltime faculty members is a new challenge.
I’m in my last class in the UNE M.S. Ed. in CTE program and am quite excited to present my final eportfolio, which will combine a revamping and rebuilding of my professional website with the additional academic work I have completed through this program.
This has been a long 2 years so far with its share of both ups and downs. However, it has been more than worthwhile. My colleagues, the administration, and my students have noticed the impact that this program has had on my teaching. My undergrad is in audio engineering from New England School of Communications and so I had no previous background in pedagogy. This program has opened my eyes to the development of curriculum, the importance of assessment, and ways to differentiate instruction.
